Honoring Our 9-1-1 Dispatchers During National Telecommunicator Week
To the Citizens of Flathead County:
This week, April 13th through 19th—we join communities across the nation in celebrating National Telecommunicator Appreciation Week, and we are proud to recognize the vital work of our Flathead County 9-1-1 dispatchers.
When emergencies happen—whether it's a house fire, a medical crisis, a domestic dispute, or a car accident—our 9-1-1 dispatchers are the first voices you hear. They are the calm in the chaos, the link between panic and help, and the trained professionals who gather information, coordinate response, and guide people through some of the worst moments of their lives.
These public safety telecommunicators are often unseen, but they are never unimportant. Every day, they demonstrate professionalism, composure, and compassion as they support law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and most importantly, the 120,000 residents of this county and the millions of guests who visit our valley.
We want our dispatchers to know that their work matters. Their service saves lives, and their presence is deeply appreciated—not just during this commemorative week, but every hour of every day.
To every Flathead County 9-1-1 dispatcher: thank you for what you do. Your commitment, your resilience, and your heart do not go unnoticed.
