Teri Vuicich Celebrates 5 Years with the Agency on Aging

At Flathead County, we believe in celebrating the people behind the service—those who make a real difference in the lives of our residents. Today, we’re recognizing Teri Vuicich, who is marking her five-year milestone as the Care Coordinator for our Veteran Directed Care Program. While we’re also preparing to say goodbye as she moves to Florida, this moment is filled with gratitude, admiration, and a much earned congratulations.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Teri served from 1985 to 1993, and it seem perfectly fitting she now works with our Flathead County Vets. Her service took her from bootcamp in South Carolina to deployments in Germany and Kuwait at the tail end of the Gulf War. She was trained in finance and accounting and completed a weapons demonstration on the M16-A1—no small feat, especially at a time when few women served in such roles.

After leaving the Army, Teri made Montana home and eventually joined the Flathead County Agency on Aging, where her deep connection to fellow veterans and passion for public service made her a natural fit for the Veteran Directed Care Program. Her words say it best: “I wish I could take this job with me—if I could do it remotely, I would.”

Teri has touched the lives of countless veterans through her work, building strong, personal relationships that often feel more like family than professional care. “Getting to know the vets is what I love most,” she says. And she truly means it—she plans to stay in touch with many of them even after her move.

Teri also spoke fondly of her team and the culture within the Agency on Aging: “We know our clients well. We support one another and have strong backing from AOA leadership.”

Now, with her husband recently retired and her son building a home in Florida, Teri is off to start a new chapter—one filled with sunshine, relaxation, and (hopefully soon) grandbabies to spoil. While we’ll miss her dearly, we’re excited for what lies ahead for her and grateful for the years she gave to Flathead County.

Teri, thank you for your service—both in uniform and here at home. You’ve made a lasting impact, and you’ll always have a place in our hearts and in our history. Congratulations on five incredible years. We wish you all the best on this next adventure!
