The Heart of Public Service: Flathead County Recognized as 2026 Employer of Choice

This is why we are so moved to share that Flathead County Government has been named the 2026 Employer of Choice in the Large Business category by the Flathead Job Service Employer Committee (JSEC).
This honor is particularly meaningful because of how it is awarded. The Employer of Choice award is judged on employee benefits, leadership, workplace culture, and community orientation. And it begins with the employees themselves. This marks the third year in a row that our own team members have stepped forward to nominate the County. The Employer of Choice Award, managed by the Montana State Employers’ Council (MSEC) and local Job Service Employer Committees (JSEC), is primarily awarded to private businesses and non-profits. Flathead County is the first county and municipal government administration to win the Employer of Choice Award in Montana.
