Flathead County Commissioners Thank Volunteers for the 2026 Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo
Dear Volunteers,
We, the Flathead County Board of Commissioners, extend our sincere gratitude for your time, energy, and dedication in making the 2026 Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo a tremendous success. As our nation celebrates America 250, we are reminded of the extraordinary legacy we have inherited. This year's theme, "Raised on Freedom, Rooted in Montana's Best," captures the essence of who we are—and your tireless service behind the scenes, across the grounds, and in the arenas brought those very values to life.
Together, we set a remarkable new standard of excellence across the board. The Market Livestock Sale made history by reaching an all-time record of $1.246 million—even with 52 fewer animals—firmly cementing our sale among the top three in Montana. That momentum carried straight into the arena, where our PRCA Rodeo raised the bar with packed turnouts every single night and across every event, proving to contestants nationwide that Kalispell is Montana's premier rodeo destination.
Our community's vibrant spirit also welcomed the world. Welcoming over 82,000 ticket holders from 49 states, four Canadian provinces, and 18 countries made one thing clear: the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo is truly a world-class destination.
None of these milestones would be possible without your generosity, hard work, and community pride. Looking ahead, 2027 will mark a historic milestone as we celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo. We are already planning an extraordinary celebration worthy of 125 years of history, tradition and community. Thank you for an incredible 2026; we cannot wait to work and celebrate alongside you again next year.
