NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Board of Commissioners of Flathead County, Montana, hereby gives notice, pursuant to Section 76-2-205(1), M.C.A., that it will hold a public hearing to consider a change in the zoning designation in a portion of the Evergreen Zoning District from SAG-10 Suburban Agricultural to I-1 Light Industrial for property located at 1890 Whitefish Stage near Kalispell, MT 59901.
The boundaries of the area proposed to be amended from SAG-10 Suburban Agricultural to I-1 Light Industrial are described as:
A tract of land in the NE1/4SE1/4 of Section 30, Township 29 North, Range 21 West, M.P.M., Flathead County, Montana
and particularly described as follows, to wit:
BEGINNING at the East one-quarter corner of Section 30, Township 29 North, Range 21 West, M.P.M., Flathead County, Montana; thence South and along the East boundary line of Section 30 a distance of 277.66 feet to a point on the Northerly right of way of the Bonneville Power Administration power line; thence South 66° 06' 40" West, and along the Northerly right of the Bonneville Power Administration right of way a distance of 1451.50 feet to a point on the Westerly boundary line of the NorthEast 1/4 SouthEast 1/4; thence North 0° 08' 11" West and along Westerly boundary line of the NorthEast 1/4 SouthEast 1/4 a distance of 872.53 feet to a point which is the NorthWest corner of the NE1/4SE1/4; thence South 89° 41' 44" East and long the Northerly boundary line of the NorthEast 1/4 SouthEast 1/4 a distance of 1329.25 feet to the place of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Easterly 30 feet which is County Road right of way.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion conveyed to United States of America in Warranty Deed recorded March 22, 2022, as Document No. 202200007439 and re-recorded March 23, 2022, as Document No. 20220007607, records of Flathead County, Montana.
The regulations defining the SAG-10 and I-1 zones are contained in the Flathead County Zoning Regulations on file for public inspection at the Office of the Board of Commissioners, 800 South Main, Room 302, Kalispell, Montana, at the Flathead County Planning and Zoning Office, 40 11th Street West, Kalispell, Montana, and on the Flathead County Planning and Zoning Office’s website at: http://flathead.mt.gov/planning_zoning/downloads.php. Documents related to the proposed zone change are also on file for public inspection at the Commissioners’ Office and at the Flathead County Planning and Zoning Office.
The public hearing will be held on the 5th day of August, 2025 at 10 o'clock a.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers, Third Floor, Courthouse, Kalispell, Montana. At the public hearing, the Board of Commissioners will give the public an opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed change to the Evergreen Zoning District.
Written comments are encouraged and will be reviewed by the Commissioners if received prior to the hearing.
