In the Flathead Valley, the reliability of our infrastructure depends entirely on the dedication of the people behind the machinery. This month, we celebrate the milestone for Morgan Marvin, who has reached five years of service with Flathead County.
Born and raised here in Kalispell, Morgan’s journey back to the valley was driven by a commitment to family and the land. After a stint working in Missoula, the pull of helping on his father’s farm and being near family brought him home. It was actually his mother, who is also an employee of the County, who encouraged him to join the team.
For Morgan, the appeal of the job is rooted in the landscape and the rhythm of the work. He thrives on the variety of the day-to-day tasks and the opportunity to spend his working hours outdoors.
But the daily tasks are only part of what makes the job click. For Morgan, another benefit of the last five years is the crew he works with every day. "I feel supported and have a great crew with a mindset of getting stuff done and doing it right," Margan stated. And having a team that genuinely has your back while taking pride in their work is exactly what keeps our County moving forward.
As for what comes next, Morgan is keeping a steady hand on the wheel. While he is open to moving up the ladder in the future, he’s also genuinely happy in his current role, serving the community he has always called home.
Join us in congratulating Morgan on five years of hard work and dedication to Flathead County!
