The Order took effect August 1, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. It was issued by Sheriff Heino due to weather conditions and fire behavior that present a threat to life safety in the Good Creek and Alder Creek area near Olney.

The Evacuation Order issued August 1 for the Good Creek and Alder Creek area remains in effect.

The fire grew on all sides on August 1, with winds pushing it east and northeast. There was substantial growth to the northeast toward the 2023 East Fork Fire footprint. The current forecast calls for cooler temperatures and higher humidity today and tomorrow.
