How to Request Park Use
- Check the Park Facilities Calendar to see whether your preferred date may be available.
- Complete the Permit Application and Facility Rental Agreement. Include your event date, time, setup and cleanup time, estimated attendance, and requested facility.
- Submit the application and security deposit to reserve the requested date.
- Provide remaining fees and required insurance by the deadline listed in the rental agreement.
Before You Submit Your Request
- Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A completed Permit Application, Facility Rental Agreement, and security deposit are required to reserve a date.
- Setup, take-down, and cleanup time must be included in your requested reservation period.
- Reserved park areas remain non-exclusive and may stay open to the public unless otherwise approved.
- Some events require a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming Flathead County as an additional insured.
- Facilities with locked restrooms may require a key checkout from the Parks Department.
- County Park Rules and Regulations apply to all park users.
- Rental fees help offset maintenance costs associated with equipment and staffing.
Rentable Parks & Facilities
The facilities below are commonly listed for rentals or special use. Contact Parks & Recreation to confirm availability, fees, deposits, seasonal access, and permit requirements.
Belton Stage Park
Belton Stage Park in West Glacier is available for reserved group use. Contact Parks & Recreation to confirm seasonal conditions, event suitability, and current availability.
Rental Fees
Groups up to 50 people: $500 per day
Security deposit: $175
Foys Community Center
Foys Community Center is available spring through fall and includes a meeting room, kitchen, restrooms, deck, grass area, and picnic tables.
Season
Available spring through fall. Closed approximately mid-October through winter.
Rental Fees
Under 30 people: $200
30–50 people: $250
51–75 people: $350
Key Checkout
A facility key must be checked out before the event and returned afterward.
Herron Park
Herron Park supports special events, equestrian activities, camping associated with approved group use, cross-country skiing, sledding, and pavilion use. The park includes horse trails and stalls, restrooms, power at the parking lot and stabling area, and water at the stabling area.
Two dressage arenas, permanent cross-country jumps, and portable stadium jumps have been provided by the Flathead Combined Training Association. Use of jumps is non-exclusive and requires prior authorization from the Herron Park Equestrians.
Rental Fees
- Pavilion: $200 per day
- Security deposit: $75
- Day use: $15, deposited on site
- Stall fee: $25 per stall, per day
- Overnight camp: $25 upon permit approval
Planning Required
Plan ahead for camping, vehicles, tents, stalls, and related event needs. The person named on the permit is responsible for collecting stall and camping fees and may be billed for overages.
Equestrian Instructions
- Horse trailer parking must remain in designated areas.
- Dressage arenas must be raked after use.
- Shavings are the only acceptable stall bedding material.
- Used shavings and manure must be placed in the provided waste boxes.
Sliters Park / Riverbend Stage
Riverbend Stage is primarily intended for concerts, dramatic productions, outdoor classes, ceremonies, and special community events.
Season
Available spring through fall.
Recurring Use
Riverbend COncert Association has use of the stage every Sunday from mid-June through mid-August.
Volunteer Park
Volunteer Park in Lakeside includes Flathead Lake access, swim docks, a boat dock, canoe and bicycle racks, restrooms, and pavilion areas.
Three pavilions on the south side of the park are available for reservation. The three pavilions on the north side of the park are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mattson Pavilion
- $350 per day
- $125 refundable security deposit
- Includes 8 picnic tables and electricity
Chautauqua Pavilion
- $200 per day
- $75 refundable security deposit
- Includes 2 picnic tables
Lacon Pavilion
- $200 per day
- $75 refundable security deposit
- Closest to the lake
Other Parks & Sports Facilities
Other parks may be available for rent depending on the site, group size, event type, season, facility impact, staffing, and scheduled recreation use. Contact Parks & Recreation before planning an event at these locations.
Carlyle Johnson Park
Located in Bigfork. GIS records list this as a sports park with restrooms, playground, soccer, and baseball amenities.
Potoczny Park
Located in Bigfork. GIS records list picnic area, restrooms, playground, and baseball amenities.
Ben Williams Park
Located in Lakeside. GIS records list picnic area, park shelter, restrooms, playground, and tennis amenities.
Softball Fields
Some softball fields may be available. Sports parks may have individual rates and a separate permit process.
Rental Fees, Deposits & Event Requirements
Fees vary by facility, attendance, event type, and requested amenities. There are no half-day rates. Setup, take-down, and cleanup time must be included in the requested rental period. Additional fees may apply for pavilions, camping, stalls, sports fields, keys, cleanup, or significant facility impact.
