Drivers Licensing: For Drivers Licensing, call (406) 444-1772. They are a State office and a separate entity. They are located at 1325 Hwy 2 W Suite E, Kalispell MT 59901.
You will need your registration receipt, current license plate number, your title number, or your VIN for the vehicle you wish to renew. In addition as of 01/01/2008 a driver's license number is required for all parties that appear on the title.
A *legal bill of sale with an original signature or the title that is properly signed off by the previous owner. A 40 day is $20.09. You may only purchase ONE Temporary Registration Permit (TRP) per transaction.
*Legal bill of sale needs to be signed by the seller and must contain the vehicle's year, make, and VIN. The name and address of both the seller and the purchaser must also be included. A bill of sale form MV24 can be downloaded from the Motor Vehicle Forms.
You can register you new/used vehicle after the dealer delivers the title work to our office. If your temporary registration permit is close to expiring and you have not heard from us, please come to our office to find out the status of your paperwork.
