Volunteer with FCAS
Flathead County Animal Shelter volunteers play a critical role in supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of the animals in our care. Through structured programs, safe handling, and consistent enrichment, volunteers help reduce stress, improve adoptability, and directly contribute to lifesaving outcomes. This is a hands-on, skill-building experience designed to support both you and the animals safely and effectively.
How Our Program Works
FCAS uses a level system to help new volunteers build skills through training, experience, and mentorship. This system ensures safety, consistency, and the best possible outcomes for our animals. All new volunteers start at the introductory level. As volunteers gain experience, they may progress into advanced levels and specialized roles.
