Non-Degradation
(Non-Deg) Analysis
All new development in Montana is required to have a non-degradation analysis completed. We provide a sample bottle for you to collect a water sample from a well within one mile of your property. The sample must be analyzed for nitrate by a certified water lab (ME Lab is in Kalispell). We use that value, along with other information, in several formulas to estimate the potential for degrading the shallow groundwater quality.
