When You Are Sick
If you are sick with COVID-19, influenza, RSV, or another respiratory illness, stay home and away from others.
You may return to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both of the following are true:
- Your symptoms are improving overall.
- You have not had a fever without using fever-reducing medicine.
After returning to normal activities, consider taking added precautions for the next 5 days. These precautions may include wearing a well-fitting mask, improving air flow, washing hands often, testing, and keeping distance from people who are at higher risk for severe illness.
