Local Emergency Planning Committee

The Local Emergency Planning Committee, or LEPC, helps Flathead County prepare for emergencies involving hazardous materials. The committee brings together local government, emergency responders, public health, industry, community organizations, and residents to improve hazardous material planning and response.

The LEPC also helps provide public access to certain hazardous chemical information under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, also known as EPCRA.
