County Services

An Encroachment Permit is needed to work on the county road or to work within the County right-of-way.

Please keep in mind that a signature is required on the form for response by our office.  In addition, all forms submitted become public information. 

• Certified copies of birth certificates are available through this office for all Montana Counties.

• Genealogy copies are available for Flathead County only.

• A certified copy is $8.00 each, and may be obtained online or by mail.

• Anyone requesting an informational or certified copy of a vital record must present a valid ID.

• If additional assistance is needed, and you require a meeting with staff, please contact our offices to schedule an appointment.

Request copies of 911 call audio, dispatch communications, and related records maintained by the Flathead Emergency Communications Center. Some records may be restricted or require review before release.

Schedule fingerprinting and background checks for school district teachers, employees, substitutes, volunteers, and bus drivers.

Request a mosquito control presentation for a K–12 school class or civic organization in Flathead County.
